Drum and instrument editing, tuning vocals, and tempo mapping are just a few services that will tighten up your session. Such as taking out excessive breath, bass and guitar finger squeaks, or any other unnecessary noises.

From drum beats to synths to full orchestras, we can build MIDI elements taking your vision to the next level. Adding swells, risers, explosions, and additional elements to add excitement to your project.

Session Preparation
Prepare your session to your specs, from organizing and naming tracks to color coding to gain staging. We can work with Pro Tools, Cubase and Reaper.
Ask for the Bar Number, Not the Opinion
Most mix notes weld together what a listener heard and a guess at the fix. Ask for timestamps instead of opinions, and the notes get a lot more useful.
The Ocean Was in the Way of the Voice
I picked an ambient bed for a spoken-word piece by mood and nearly buried the voice. Surf lives in the low mids, right where a vocal needs room.
Shuffle Is the Most Honest Listener I Have
My rough mixes lived in a folder for years. Putting them in a shuffled playlist next to finished songs showed me which ones were actually done.
Rhythm Guitar Is a Drum Part
I treated rhythm guitar as a harmony part for years. Then I soloed one in a crowded mix and heard a second drummer fighting the hi-hat.
Nobody Writes the Transitions
Home recordings don't give themselves away in the verse or the chorus. They give themselves away in the two bars between them.
Depth Isn't Reverb. It's Distance.
Reverb only does one of the three jobs your ear uses to judge distance. Real depth in a mix gets captured at tracking, not added later.
Your EQ Can't Fix a Voicing Problem
If two tracks sound fine soloed and bad together, that is an arrangement problem wearing an EQ costume. Separation comes from note choice, not from carving.
Your Chorus Isn't Small. Your Verse Is Too Big.
Your chorus doesn't lift because of what it contains, but because of the distance between it and the eight bars before it. Contrast is built in the verse.
Your Dummy Lyric Was Right
The gibberish you sing over a fresh melody is not a placeholder. It is a transcription of the melody's physical shape, and most finished lyrics quietly break it.
