The old site had been sitting there since 2021. I knew it. You probably knew it too, if you ever clicked around and noticed the Lorem Ipsum where the client bios should have been.

That's not a metaphor for anything. It was just neglect - the kind that happens when life gets loud enough that a WordPress theme stops being a priority.

Here's what got loud: I spent the better part of the last year-plus dealing with health stuff. Stem cell treatment. Arthritis in my knees and fingers that turned picking up a guitar into a negotiation. I was still working, still at the desk - but playing? That slipped. The site stayed frozen in 2021. I had other things to think about.

I'm not going to dramatize it. I'm still here. That's the whole point.

This rebuild isn't a comeback announcement. I don't have an EP dropping next month. I don't have a release schedule. What I have is the itch coming back - slowly, like feeling returning to a limb - and enough stubbornness to not let the site stay frozen any longer while I figure out what comes next.

So I rebuilt it. New engine, dark theme, the cartoon still front and center because at this point that thing has more brand equity than I do. Clean, minimal, honest. No placeholder blog posts, no pretending the last few years didn't happen.

What comes next? I'm still working that out. But I have some ideas, and I'll write about them here when they're ready to be written about.
